In September 2019, the world lost one of the most prolific musical talents of all time, the majestic and unmistakably radiant American soprano, Jessye Norman.  Legions of fans, including celebrities, civil rights and arts world leaders all shared with the world the impact she made on their lives, joining together in grief on social platforms to honour her.  An unrivalled and towering figure on stage and in the studio, Ms Norman was one of the most decorated and trailblazing sopranos of all time.  Clive Gillinson, Artistic Director of Carnegie Hall, where Norman sat on the board reminds us that ‘She had the ability to make the world stop’.  With the support of her family, Decca proudly pays a fitting tribute to the magnificently effortless singer with The Complete Studio Recitals.
