Esther Yoo’s new recording explores musical thoughts on the theme of ‘love’, together with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Long Yu. At the heart of the album sits Leonard Bernstein’s Serenade written after Plato’s Symposium, which was her New York Philharmonic debut piece that garnered great response. Around it short pieces including new arrangement of Mahler’s ‘Adagietto’, Vaughan Williams’ ‘The Lark Ascending’ carries on the deep and varied conversation on love.
